Directions To Murphys

From Stockton, take highway 4 east for about 40 miles. It will intersect with highway 49 at Angles Camp. Pass through Angles Camp and make a left at the stop sign. You will still be on Hy. 4. Hy. 49 continues straight. After

about 8 miles you will come to the town of Murphys. Turn left on Main St. and look for the Murphys Hotel on the left at the second intersection. This street is Algiers. We are in a cellar under the building across Algiers from the hotel. Our address is 425 Main St. but you enter the cellar on Algiers. Watch your head and step as you come in.

Parking in Murphys is usually a problem, especially on weekends. The best place to park is down Algiers a couple of hundred yards. You will pass a park on your left, and just over the bridge you will see a parking lot on your right.
